December News

 Hi there Stampers

It has been very amiss of me and I have not updated my Blog in way too long. The end of the year for my Classes has come and gone and now taking a break to get ready for my Christmas Celebrations.  I will have all my Family here at my place this year and it will be simply wonderful.  My Son and his Family will be here from Canberra and my Daughter and her Family from Brisbane.  We are so lucky here in Australia where we now have not many new cases of COVID19 popping up and the ones we do have are Travellers coming back into Australia from Overseas.  So they are quarantined for 14 days as soon as they arrive in Australia and are tested to make sure they are negative after that time.  So my Son and his Family are free to travel to Queensland from the ACT and I am just so glad 😊😍

I still have many more Christmas Cards to make though and send out to all my Family and Friends.

Every year I send a Christmas Card to each of my 4 Grandchildren and this year I used a retired set called "On to Adventure" as it has a little Grandma Lady stamp that I thought was just like me and teamed it up with the little Greeting from "Gnome for the Holidays" as well as the Christmas Tree using the "Pine Woods" Dies

They should be receiving them in the mail in the next few days.

Our "End-of-Year" Closeout Sale starts tomorrow and there will be some good specials for items retiring from the "Handmade For You" Mini Catalogue.  Amongst them is the "Gnome for the Holidays" Stamp Set and the "In the Pines" Stamp Set and "Pine Woods" Dies as well as much more so be sure to pop on over to my Website here to see all the bargains.

Also don't forget to add my Hostess Code for December GVVTNSUA to receive a little Thank You Gift from me as well - some Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper (while stocks last).  Order Online anytime of day or night and have your goodies delivered straight to your door.

Happy Stamping everyone and hope you are all well wherever in this crazy world you live.  Enjoy the Family time at Christmas and hope Santa brings you all some fun crafting goodies 😉😁

Delving into the Video World!!

 Hello Stampers

Hope you have all been able to spend some quality time stamping 😀😀  as we get closer and closer to Christmas....aaghh!  I am nowhere near organised haha.

I have my last Class for the year this Saturday and a Coffee Cake & Card Morning next Tuesday so then I will be concentrating on my own Christmas Cards and shopping for the Family.  I have all my Family together here at my house this year so there will be lots of noisy laughter and fun times.  So exciting!!!  I certainly hope you can all get together with your Family this Christmas.

So I have decided it was time I started making some Stamping Videos.  Here is my latest:-

I am still very new at this and learning as I go.  I have, accidentally, set this video so that no comments are allowed. 😞 and I don't know how to change it???  So you see I am learning.  The next one will be better.

My first Video can be seen here so you can start from #1 and follow me as I go along.

Happy for any comments below so that I can improve more.

I enjoyed a fun Class last night with just 3 Ladies, one of which was very new to stamping and I am sure she left with just as much excitement as me 😁😁

Christmas is not too far away my friends - just 36 days!!!!

So get those Christmas Cards Created and in the mail to put a smile on the receiver's face this year.  We all need some cheering up this Christmas 💖

Happy Stamping

World Card Making Weekend 2020

 Hello Stampers

Well where has that time gone??  Sorry for being away so long.  Leading up to Christmas gets so hectic!!

Firstly I wanted to Thank everyone who came along to my World Card Making Weekend Open House 9th - 11th Ocober.  It was a great success with more than 120 cards made over the 2 1/2 days.  Lots of creativeness, laughter and fun was experienced by all and $150.00 was donated to the National Heart Foundation. Thank You all!!!

Many prizes were won over the course of the weekend with the major prizes picked up by these lucky ladies -

1st Prize for the Lucky Door Prize - Ann Hayward

2nd Prize for the Lucky Door Prize - Clair MacKay  and

Scratch & Win Minor Prize - Clair MacKay

Scratch & Win Major Prize - Karen Cumberlidge

Lots of creative fun and laughter was had by all and we are all looking forward to a more "Normal" Year next year   😊

One of the cards we all made at World Card Making Weekend was using the "Floating Frame" Technique which is supposed to look like this -

You make 2 x cards using this technique.  This is what it is supposed to look like 😊  However I chose to modify mine somewhat and not cut out the middle.  So I left it in its entirety and this is the result -

I quite like this look as well.  So if you follow my Facebook Page "Stamping Daze with Janette" you would have read my post about the "Mistake" making my card 😁😁  This explains my "mistake".

We are now full steam into Christmas Card production.  I still have heaps to make for my own collection and also donate a lot of Christmas Cards to the WishList Sunshine Coast Foundation at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

NOVEMBER HOSTESS CODE - CPUEKUVT

Don't forget to use this Hostess Code for November in all your Online Orders at my shop and this month you will receive some 6" x 6" Red & Green Foil Sheets. So get out that wishlist and grab all the supplies you need for this year's Christmas cards and pick some extra freebies from me as well.  Just click here to go straight to my shop.

Happy Stamping

World Card Making Day 2020

Hello Stampers

Well here we are again at this time of year and World Card Making Day is fast approaching 😃

This year of 2020 is not "Normal" as we all know it and World Card Making Day falls on a long weekend here in Queensland.  So I will be changing it up somewhat and celebrating "World Card Making Weekend"  but on the following weekend 😁

Current COVID-19 Restrictions here in Queensland @ 31 August 2020 are as follows:-

As there are limited venues available I will be holding an Open House Event at my own home here on the Sunshine Coast over 2 1/2 days.  Bookings will be absolutely essential to keep my numbers within my limits.  Watch my Blog, Facebook Page "Stamping Daze with Janette" and Website Calendar here for any updates closer to the date.

We will still be having all the fun that World Card Making Days have brought in the past, just in the comfort of my own home and for a couple more days, and this will mean more funds to be raised for the National Heart Foundation of Australia. 👏 As I lost my husband at a very young age to Heart Disease this Foundation means a lot to me.

I will be opening my doors on Friday 9th October 2020  from 2:00 - 4:30

Saturday 10th October from 9:00 - 4:00

Sunday 11th October from 9:00 - 4:00

COST:    $50.00 for 1 Full Day

                 $75.00 for 2 Full Days

              $20.00 for half a day

2 1/2 days full of crafting fun, Make and Takes, Lucky Door Prize and other give aways.

Come along and learn some new techniques or just see what all the fun of Stamping and Card Making is all about. I am sure you will fall in love with it and all the beautiful Stampin' Up! ® products we use.

Lunch and Morning and Afternoon Teas will be supplied and all materials to complete your projects. Some adhesives will be supplied but extras will be available for sale on the days.

It will have a "Christmas Theme" mainly but a few other occasion projects will be thrown in as well.  If you can wear Christmas colours there will be a few random prizes for the best bright Christmas attire 🎅🎄

Once again I will also be asking for 1 card from each attendee on each day to be donated to one of my chosen Charities - Wishlist Sunshine Coast Health Foundation - Sunshine Coast University Hospital; Ronald McDonald House Charities South  East Queensland; Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit Royal Brisbane Hospital.

So I would love you to come celebrate with me 😊😊

Happy Stamping

More Stamping Fun!

 Hello Stampers

Here we are at the end of August!!!  This means here in Australia it will soon be the start of Spring and everything sunny and floral.  I just love Spring.  It is my favourite season - not too hot for my early morning walks around this beautiful Sunshine Coast where I live and not too cold so I spend too much time sleeping in and not using all my crafting time 😁😁

It also means that it is nearly September and do we have some exciting new things happening in September!!!

Firstly, from 1 September,  you will be able to get your hot little hands on our very own new Stampin' Up! Cut & Emboss Machine

I am just loving mine.  As a Demonstrator I am lucky to be able to purchase and play with new products a little bit earlier than all my Customers.  So I have mine and I really can say it has everything you need in a Cut & Emboss Machine and so compact. So if you are a crafter and have been looking for a top quality Cut & Emboss Machine then check this one out and pop on over to my Website Shop here  to add it to your Shopping Cart.

Due to the machine’s solid steel construction frame, the tightness and effectiveness of the cutting and embossing will remain intact over time. The precise pressure designed and engineered into the machine results in crisp, clean, and precise cutting along with beautifully detailed embossing. It also has a small footprint, ergonomic carrying handle, easy rotating handle for comfort in use, and strategically designed platform for superior control. The best part is that all this value is offered at a great price!

Also for the month of September if you have been thinking about joining my Team of fun "Sunburst Stampers" now is the time to ask me more and join the Stampin' Up! Family.

For the cost of the Starter Kit of $169.00 you get to choose and products up to that value + you receive a bunch of free goodies as well:-

• Cardstock pieces to make 16 cards - Granny Apple Green Card + Coastal Cabana Card

• "Queen Anne's Lace" Stamp Set

You will then be able to purchase your new Cut & Emboss Machine at a discount!!!  No other obligations of holding parties or workshops, just enjoying the perks and discounts of being a Demonstrator.

If you are in Brisbane or on the Sunshine Coast you also will have the opportunity in joining in some great Team Fun Days held on a regular basis.  We had one just yesterday and it was a fabulous day

We made 11 cards

and a beautiful Christmas Sampler which I finished the following day at home and now just need to find a frame to pop it into

All using all the fun Christmas products in the current "Handmade For You" Mini Catalogue.
