Birthday celebrations

Well the big 1st birthday celebrations are now over and the little fella really didn't know what all the fuss was about??  The big sparkler candle on the cake was very interesting, the cake was also interesting and I don't think he is really into sweet things just yet, but the pressies were much more fun and especially the new books.  He would spend hours looking at his books...that's a good sign.

Now I have my daughter's 28th birthday to celebrate.  I will post a picture of her birthday card next week so it is a bit of a surprise for her on Saturday :)  Then to finish off my Christmas cards for the year.  I still have about another 12 to go.  Here are a couple of decorations I made to give to some friends  to hang on their Christmas trees this year.

The baubles are shatter proof and filled with strips of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Christmas Paper and Stampin' Glass Glitter.
I hope you are all enjoying your Festive Season crafting and TFL

My Grandson's 1st birthday

My first and only so far Grandson is turning 1 today!!!  What a darling little man he is. Tyler Zachary is a happy and quite laid back little person who loves birds, dogs and bopping to any music that he hears - Sesame Street, The Wiggles and Giggle and Hoot which I think is his favourite when he stays with Grandma every Tuesday.  We have lots of fun together playing and learning.  He is a true joy in my life :)

He watches Sesame Street and likes all the characters.  He doesn't seem to have a favourite one yet so I used Big Bird as the feature for his birthday card.

Here I used the small scallop punch for Big Bird's face and feathers on top of his head; the 3/4" circle punch for his eyes and eyelids; the 1/2' circle punch for his eyeballs; and the large oval punch for his beak and tongue.
The cardstock is Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight.
The Stamp sets I used are Wacky Wishes and Memorable Moments.
Here he is doing his other favourite pastime......eating :)

Using the Festive Paper Piercing Pack

Here is a card that I made using the Festive Paper Piercing Pack that comes free this month with the purchase of either of the 2 Ornament Keepsakes Bundles.
The baubles are from the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set and are run through the Big Shot using the  Framelits to match which also come in the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle.
If you look closely you can see piercing holes around the bauble shapes.  This is the effect you can get with this paper piercing pack.  It just makes the bauble "pop" and look more effective.

I now want to try the other Paper Piercing designs that come in the same pack. It is so much fun!!
