Back to Christmas creating.....

Only 1 week till the big man in the red suit visits me at my new Granddaughter's house!!!  Woohoo I am getting super excited now.  I hope he finds me okay.  I am sure Peri will make enough noise so he knows which house I am in :) :)

So it is gift wrapping time.  I love it when I have found those perfect gifts for everyone and it is then time to wrap them up. and put them under my tree.  I have a modest tree this year as I have only been in my new "sea change" house for 6.5 months and still can't find all my decorations :/  Next year will be much better and hopefully will have all my family back in Australia again celebrating Xmas here with me.  Sounds of children (little ones and big ones) laughing and splashing in my pool is what Christmas is all about.

I am using all the brown paper that I have received in my Stampin' Up! delivery boxes during the year.  If you are anything like me I can't bring myself to put it in the Recycle bin so it grows during the year!!! I have also thrown in some of the Festive Designer Kraft Paper Rolls which are in the Year-End Closeouts sale for $11.89.

I have even gift wrapped a couple of scratchies for easy small gifts to good friends' family members.  I love my Envelope Punch Board and it is getting quite a lot of use at this time of year.  Not only have I lined a few of my Christmas Cards envelopes but also made these cute Scratchie Holders.  I am also using up my Designer Series Paper which I have quite a lot of at the moment. My favourite stamp set I have been using a lot this Christmas too is "Get your Santa On"  Here I just inked Santa up with my Basic Gray Stampin' Write marker and then coloured his suit in using my Real Red Stampin' Write marker and then cut him out using the Deco Labels Framelits Die.  I added a belly band using the Burlap Ribbon and the Real Red 3/8" Satin woven ribbon which is on sale in the Year-End Closeouts till January 5 or while stocks last.

My families Christmas gift tags are nice and simple this year.  I did use a retired stamp set "Christmas Collectibles" because it had a "To/From" bauble and then just added a wee bit of Washi Tape to jazz them up a bit :)

A break from Christmas creating...

I have a male friend's birthday coming up soon so it was a nice break to think of something masculine, instead of Xmas things for a change.  Masculine is always a wee bit trickier and I tend to go to the same set of stamp sets all the time.  The ones with boats and bikes etc so off I go to Pinterest for a little inspiration.

I am back and I found this great idea from Valerie Thorpe in South Africa....Thanks Valerie :)  I used the Stars theme idea and added my own touch.

Have I mentioned recently how much I just love Stampin' Up! products?  You can mix and match things from all sorts of sets or just stick to the one stamp set.  Here I have used mostly current (C) products but one retired (R) stamp set and it can be replaced with any other current set of your choice.

  • Big News Stamp Set (C)
  • Petite Pairs Stamp Set (C)
  • Simply Stars Stamp Set (R)
  • Framelits - Project Life Cards& Labels Framelits Dies (C)
  • Mini Star and chevrons from Circle Card Framelits Set
  • Santa & Co Designer Series Paper - Current till 5 January 2014
If you are like me you tend to accumulate Designer Series Paper and so I use every bit I can for envelope decoration.  Here I lined the envelope using the Envelope Liner Framelits and added a couple of the small stars from the Circle Card Thinlits set to the front of the envelope

Now I can go back to making all my Xmas gift tags with a fresh Xmas brain :):)
