Competition Time!!!!!

Hello Stampers

Well here we are a third of the way through May!!!!!  I am not sure if it is just me but it feels like every time I turn around we are in a new month....whew!!!  nearly half the year has gone already :/

So I thought it would be Competition Time again and especially as we have a brand new and exciting Annual Catalogue starting very soon... on the 1st June to be exact :) :)

I have been playing with a few of the new goodies coming out in June.  Here are a couple of them -

Now to the Competition here are the rules for entry...

  • You must be an Australian Resident
  • You must not be a current Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
  • You will receive 1 x Entry in the draw if you request a copy of the new 2016 Annual Catalogue and I have not already sent you one
  • You will receive 3 x Entries in the draw if you are a new "Liker" to my FaceBook Page - Stamping Daze with Janette.
  • You will receive 5 x Entries in the draw every time you place an order of $90.00 or more with me, either online or by email, during the month of May 2016.  You also have automatic membership to my Sunnie Coast Stampers Club with this entry.

The Retirement List is here!!!!

Hello Stampers

It is that exciting time of year again.....the end of 2015/2016 Annual Catalogue and the current Occasions Catalogue on 31 May and the start of a brand new 2016/2016 Annual Catalogue full of "delicious" new goodies :) :)

So that means the Retirement List is now out and selling fast so you have to be quick to pick up some bargains and those products you have been looking at during the year but haven't got yet.

http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/janetteclark/

Just click on the pic above and check out the full list of retiring stamps and accessories etc at my website.

I had the best time at our local OnStage Event last weekend where I shared a
2 x bedroom apartment with 4 other lovely ladies.  This is definitely the best part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - meeting and laughing and having a great time with all the other fellow Demos.  The gorgeous matching products comes a very close second :)

I love making little "Pillow Gifts" for my other Roomies and the first night  I gave them a yummy Darryl Lea Rocky Road chocky to give them sugar energy for our full day of excitement and I also added a little badge for them to add to their lanyard or the OnStage Bag that we all receive on check in.

The second night they all received a little box of cute soaps.  I just love the glittery bows on top, made so easy with the Bow Builder Punch which is not retiring....Yay!!!! Also the glittery washi tape, sadly, has gone as it was a Sale-a-Bration item.

Here is a pic of us all getting ready for the excitement of the day :) Left to right - Carmen, Geetha, Trish, Sonia and me :)

The next exciting thing to come is the new 2016/2017 Annual Catalogue which I will share a bit more about next time :)   stay tuned..........

What comes after Sale-a-Bration?

Hello Stampers

Just a quick Blog this morning as I am off to our Stampin' Up! ONStage Event at the Gold Coast this weekend.  Woohoo so excited!!  I love Stampin' Up! and the fun things they organise for us Demonstrators :)   They have 2 of these events each year, one of which is the main 3 day event held in a different location around the world.  The main one being at the Utah Head Office and smaller one day events elsewhere, one of which is on the Gold Coast here in Australia, as well as Sydney.  The next main 3 day event in November will be held in Brisbane!!  Yay!!!!  So if you want to join me for that one just pop on over to my Website here and JOIN THE FUN :)

So I have got my swaps done...here is the production line happening.....

Also made my pillow gifts for my Roomies.  Can't show you them yet as they might be reading this so I will post those pics next week.

I also get to see the new Annual Catalogue and play with some new products at the OnStage Event.  I can't show you anything new as yet though as will be sworn to secrecy until a bit later down the track so stay tuned and if you want me to send you a copy of the new catty when it arrives and you are in Australia just email me here for more details.

Gotta Go :) :)

Last day to grab that Sale-a-Bration freebie!!!!

Hello Stampers

Well Sale-a-Bration time for another year is nearly over :(  Just today to grab that freebie that you have had your eye on for the last few months. I liked them all this year and I had a play with the latest "Party Pants" stamp set and the Metallic Glitter to create a little "Hi" card to send to some stamping friends that I haven't seen in a little while and just wanted to let them know that I hadn't forgotten them.  If you are reading this now your little cards are on the way to you :) :)

The Metallic Glitter tape is used on the card on the right and the Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape is used on the card on the left.  I just added the washi tape on a diagonal to a piece of whisper white card then trimmed around each side.  I ran the whole piece through the Big Shot with the smallest Deco Labels Collection Framelit. I love this greeting in the Party Pants stamp set.  Just today and then it will be gone.

In Colors 2014-2016 saying goodbye soon

Hello Stampers

Firstly I have been away from my stamping blog for a week or so to attend the wedding of my niece Stefanie to Stephen.  The wedding was held in Iguanazul Beach Club Resort, Junquillal, Costa Rica and what a beautiful location it was for a wedding.  I had such a great week there and even the 22 + hours of plane travel each way did not stop me from attending.  Here is a pic of the gorgeous couple.......

Here is the card and matching gift card holder that I made for the Bride and Groom

So now I have been home a couple of days and guess where I went as soon as I got home????  Yes my craft room :) :)

This year is just flying by in front of my eyes and it won't be long till we have a new Annual Catalogue to read through over and over.  I am so excited about seeing it.

Also the 2014/2016 In Colors ( Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss)  will be gone forever and a new set of fun and exciting colors will begin in June.

Two fun stamping weekends!!

Hello Stampers

Well my last two weekends have been a ton of fun - laughing and stamping with many friends :)

A weekend get together with my fun friends at my old Estate where I used to live and also spending wonderful time with my daughter, son-in-law and gorgeous granddaughter.  Time with the little ones is always so precious.  I love my kisses and cuddles from little 15 month old Peri. As well as the kisses and cuddles from my super gorgeous daughter and wonderful SIL ;)

So all day Saturday and all day Sunday was spent card making.  The best way I like to spend my weekends.  Saturday was with just a few of us and Sunday was with this fun crew....

Sonia showed us the faux tiling method on a beautiful card and we all got to make one.  Here is my effort .....

Nice design.  Thanks Sonia for sharing that with us. It will go in my stash ready to send out to someone special for their birthday.

Shannon West from Stampin' Up!s Head Office has spurred us all on the #imbringingbirthdaysback  and I plan to try and send more hand crafted birthday cards this year to all my family and friends.  Receiving a hand made card with love in the mail is just so much more exciting than reading a Facebook message.  I thank all those who do send me FB Happy Birthday messages :)  but I do love to open my letterbox and find a nice card (something other than a bill!!).

So the cards I made for last weekend as make-and-takes were all birthday cards.  The first one was inspired by a design by Brian King.  Thanks Brian - a great simple but colourful birthday card for anyone and they all loved making it.

The next one uses the new Grateful Bunch stamp set and the double embossing technique with the large Polka Dot Embossing Folder - designed by me this time :) .  To get this look you run your cardstock through the BigShot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder then turn the cardstock over, line up the dots so that they are just offset a little and run it through the BigShot again.  Love, Love, Love this look.

My last February Class was yesterday and it was an Easter/Mother's Day theme.  I don't usually do Easter Cards and so don't have a lot of Easter specific stamp sets.  So thank you Pinterest and kristalscardsandmore.blogspot.com for the inspiration.  Nice and easy and cute and my class did enjoy putting it together.  I used Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set for the greeting and they chose whichever greeting they wanted.

The Mother's Day card was using my favourite DSP at the moment which is Birthday Bouquet and just perfect for Mother's Day cards :) :)  I also used the double embossing technique again and it was the "Wow" Factor for the day.  I also stamped the little flower from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set on to the DSP and cut the flower top out and placed it on the stamped image for a more 3D effect.

Our third project for class was an Easel Calendar Stand card to go with the Mother's Day card.

Here are my happy group of crafters :)

Happy stamping everyone until next time :)

Fun with a Card-in-a-Box!

Hello Stampers

Here we are at the last day in January!!! Once again the months just whiz by faster and faster the older I get :(  I am having lots of fun along the way though.

My January classes have gone super well and I have had so much fun sharing my love of Stampin' Up! products and creating beautiful cards and gifts with all the fabulous colours and stamps. As well as meeting new fellow crafters in my area.

We have done Birthday cards with a female theme then Masculine cards and now yesterday we made a few for the kids :)  I used mainly the "Zoo Babies" stamp set as this is just so versatile for little wee kiddies up to the teenagers.

My absolute favourite card in yesterday's class was the Card-in-a-Box.  The kids just love these.  Recently I have made a Dinosaur one for my Grandson when he became a big brother last June...

Then a more girly one for my best friend's grand daughter who turned 5 in January.....

So yesterday's one was using mainly the elephant from Zoo Babies as I tried to eliminate too much fussy cutting for the ladies.  I just recently saw somewhere that there are Framelits available, in America, for this stamp set but they have not been included in the Australian Catalogue :(  I have my fingers crossed that they will be in our next Annual Catalogue for 2016/2017!!!

So now I am preparing for my February Classes of which I am having 2 so you can pop on over to my website here to see all the details and how you can book in.  They are filling fast as I keep my classes to a maximum of 6 people.  The next class will be cards with a Wedding theme and I will be featuring the "Bloomin' Love" Stamp Set and matching "Bloomin' Heart Framelits Dies as well as the "For the New Two" Stamp Set.  Hope that you can join me :)

Happy Stamping
