Recently I saw a Facebook Post by Mary Brown AKA StamperCamper from the US who made a card with the "Polished Stone" Technique and I loved it straight away.
It is an easy technique resulting in a different look every time you try it. So, today, I decided to give it a go. My first card started with the Octopus cut out using the "Under the Sea" Framelits and the "Sea of Textures" Stamp Set in the new 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue which has just begun on June 1. I played with Marina Mist, Coastal Cabana and Lemon Lime Twist. Here is the end result:-
So then I thought I would like something with pink tones. My fingers have been choosing "Painted Harvest" Stamp Set a lot lately. You know when you just like a certain stamp set and seem to go to that one quite often? Well Painted Harvest is currently my "Go To" Stamp Set 😄
So I started with some Glossy White cardstock and 3 colours - Flirty Flamingo, Berry Bliss and Fresh Fig
I then grabbed 3 x cotton balls (one at a time) and firstly added some Isocol Rubbing Alcohol then dipped in Flirty Flamingo and dabbed and swirled it on the glossy cardstock. I continued this with the other 2 colours and spritzed it lightly with a little extra isocol, and ended up with this......
I went away and did something else while it dried (pretty fast due to the Isocol) and if you wanted to speed up the process just use your heat gun.
I then stamped the leaves from the "Painted Harvest" Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and embossed them with silver embossing powder...
I then trimmed this down to fit my Fresh Fig cardbase and Flirty Flamingo border. Put them all together, stamped the 2-step flower from the "Painted Harvest" Stamp Set on the largest square Stitched Framelits piece of Whisper White using Flirty Flamingo and Berry Bliss.
I popped it up on dimensionals, added some Blackberry Bliss "Nature's Twine" and wallah!! The greeting is from the "Fairy Celebration" Stamp Set mainly because I like this font and it is quite small.
The left over little bits that I trimmed from it I added to the front of the envelope. Don't throw anything out when you are stamping 😊😊😊
Hope you like it and try giving it a go. I would love to see your different creations.
Happy Stamping
